Summer Time and the Living's Easy

Well, the living's easy for my daughter anyway! Today was the last day of school for her. She's now going to be a big third grader. I have no idea where the time goes. Wasn't she just born yesterday? Summer's going to be very exciting for her. We have a trip to Vegas, then a trip to London. Whenever she's not exploring the world, she's attending a summer day camp (that I've coined Club Med Without Alcohol). She's going to have an absolute blast. While she's having a ton o' fun, I'm going to be working most of the summer. Now that I'm working full-time, I don't get to take too many vacation days. I'm limiting them to when I'm traveling. The only sad part about summer this year is that it's a short one for my daughter. Her school district is starting school earlier in the year and ending the school year earlier. So, this school year ended today, but the new school year starts up mid-August. After that, the schedule will be back in sync. But this summer is only going to be about 7 weeks long! Poor thing!
