So Twisted (and Yet Kinda Funny)

My husband, daughter, and I were playing the old game of avoiding the cracks in a sidewalk. I jokingly asked if I step on a crack, does it mean I break my own back?

My daughter immediately answered, "No, you'd break the back of a dead woman!"

I was confused by this, so I asked her to explain.

"Well, grandma is dead," my daughter explained, "and you'd be breaking her back!"

Sorry, Mom, but this hit my funny bone, and I couldn't stop laughing for awhile.

Yup, I'm going to hell.

  1. don't you just love how sometimes their literalness is hysterical? Lilly makes me laugh so often with her serious reponses.

She is also not very amused when I laugh.

So much good sarcasm is wasted on that child. *sigh*
